Note: The only record I could find of
Ganjirô I performing in Tokyo when
Shunsen was active making prints was
at the Shintomi-za in May 1926.
Stylistically, however, the print looks

Note: Most of the prints in this series
were issued in 1916, which suggests
that the given date and location of the
performance is incorrect.  However,
I can find no indication that Sadanji II
performed this role in Taisho era prior
