Note: Given that Kanpô was a Kyoto artist and the publisher was based in
Kyoto, the actors depicted in this series likely performed their roles in Kyoto
(or Osaka).   However, because the title references famous actors from the
east (i.e., Tokyo), it is possible that some postcards may depict
contemporaneous performances in Tokyo as well.

Note: This postcard was missing when the
folder and other three postcards were
acquired.  While it is believed to depict
Shibajaku IV as Oshichi, it is possible that it
depicts another actor in another role from
as-yet unlocated third set of Kanpô postcards. 
Shibajaku IV played the role of Oschichi in a
production of Date Musume Koi no Higanoko
(伊達娘戀緋鹿子) in February 1913 at the
Shintomi-za in Tokyo.  I have not located another
intermediate performance prior the publication
