Note: Ennosuke II first played the role of Akutarô in this
play in Tokyo at the Ichimura-za in June 1924.  If the
publication date of this print precedes Ennosuke II's
final Tokyo performance in December 1952, then Gakô
would have based this print on Ennosuke II's penultimate
Tokyo performance at the Shinjuku Daiichi Gekijô in
June 1944. or else on some other prior performance.
